What made you choose this institution over all others? Did the university exceed your expectations?
The main reason I decided to attend Western was because of the unique program they offered as well as the welcoming environment of campus. I have really enjoyed the classes I’ve taken, people I’ve met and so much more.
Do you have any lingering thoughts or regrets in your year as a whole (ex; application process, mistakes going into first year). If so, describe them.
One of the regrets I have is not joining more clubs and going to more events to expand my social circle.
Briefly describe the academic rigour of your program (in terms of competitiveness, courses, professors, etc.)
The professors are quite eager to help when you ask for help whether it be understanding a topic or clarification. The grading on midterms and finals is fair and the content of the program is interesting as it applies to daily life.
Describe the social life at your campus based on your own experiences (making friends, clubs + extracurriculars, party culture etc.)
I had the opportunity to make friends over our o-week (orientation week) . We had spirit leaders who helped us come out of our shells and nurture friendships. I joined a few clubs but only really attended one, I wish I would have been more invested in them. I was able to attend a few parties with friends which gave me an experience to look back on.
What are some of the best and worst parts of your university experience so far?
I’ve loved the freedom that comes with university, getting to explore the city with friends and find yourself. The worst part was having to adjust to the academics of university, it tends to be a slight change that you don’t really notice till your marks come back.

Don’t be afraid to ask people for help
Work hard and enjoy yourself too
