iAscend had the pleasure of partnering with Ignition Hacks to host its first ever hackathon in August 2020. Ignition Hacks was a free virtual hackathon event with over 460 participants from 19 different countries. Over the course of one weekend, the event introduced participants to artificial intelligence and its various applications through a series of workshops and seminars featuring exciting guest speakers. Participants also had the opportunity of applying AI models to create projects individually or in teams in order to solve meaningful problems that were judged on accuracy, creativity, design, and presentation. 71 projects were submitted and over $6000 CAD in prizes were won!
